Bad piston! Baad!
Cam and journals are totally lunched! Heads toast..
Mighty nice pinstripes in that bore there! Luuuunched!!
Picked up that 660 tonite and.. Yeah. I’m just going to go ahead and find a good used engine for it.
I’m still going to tear this one down and check it. It may be worth building into a 719 but not right away.
It came sans carburetors too.. But to make up for that I got a good used jug and piston I can hawk on EBay for a few bucks.
The rest of the machine is in great shape so it should flip for a decent buck once running.

I might have been able to ding him on the carbs but I didn’t want to be a dick. Ignoring my labor I should still be able to pull $700-800 out of it and have a little fun doing it.

My main toy right now is an 86 Honda 200x. Once I have my 85 350x running the 200x is getting restored and sold. I don’t really keep any of them too long.

I’ll probably check the oil pump and gearbox this weekend. If the 2nd gear dog isn’t busted I may be able to salvage it.

It does look like a siezed Blaster mill don’t it?
From what I’ve been reading the 2nd gear dog breaks and kills the oil pump drive gears.

I was gonna say, looks like it was ran with no oil. Had to have made quite a racket while it was destroying itself

The kid said he didn’t hear anything. Just a loss of power.
The bottom end is still tight but maybe not worth taking a chance on. I’ll find out Sunday when I crack the case.
